Rules
Goal. Line up four white ○ circles or four blackened ● circles, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The circles are shared: both players play with the same ones.
Starting position. The first player draws two circles on two cells that don't touch, not even diagonally.
A move. Always on a cell next to the opponent's last move (all 8 directions), never on that cell itself:
- empty cell → draw a white circle there;
- cell with a white circle → blacken it;
- already blackened cell → not allowed.
End. Whoever completes a line of four wins. Whoever can no longer move — every neighboring cell is blackened — loses by entrapment.
Tip. Beware of mirages: three circles in a row are only worth something if the fourth cell can actually be reached at the right moment. It all comes down to predicting your opponent's response.
